The children of Ashgrove Nursery had a real sense of excitement when a HUGE Fire Engine arrived at the school. Whilst the Firefighters passed on some important messages about keeping safe, we also found time to squirt the hoses and climb inside the engine! It was a bit of a squash and a squeeze to fit us all in – but worth it for the experience! Staff also managed to get their cars washed as the children hosed all around them! One Firefighter even let some of some of our children borrow his trousers and helmet! Thanks to our local fire authority for giving so freely of their time – we had a ball (and that includes the staff!)
